Talon: Binding System
Splitboarding is an incredibly efficient form of back-country travel and soft snowboard boots offer great flexibility while touring.  Problems arise when the terrain gets steeper and more exposed.  Large crampons strap onto flexible snowboard boots and allow a rider to ascend this type of terrain, yet these can be an unsafe connection compared to the hard shells of ski boots and mountaineering boots.
Talon is a splitboard binding that turns your soft boot into a hard platform to affix different devices to, including a two-piece crampon.  This creates a more solid connection between you and your crampons than a regular soft boot.  A large challenge in the development was creating a mechanism that works with the Voile/Spark pucks while allowing the rider to keep their feet strapped in during a transition.  When not in use, the crampons break down and store in a much smaller envelope than standard universal crampons.
