I spent a good chunk of my free time over the last few months building something I have always wanted: a slide in camper for my truck.  It is nearing completion and I have already taken it out on several adventures.  While much of the construction techniques, interior design and ergonomics were out of my depth of experience, I managed to watch enough YouTube videos and learn through trial and error to make something I am proud of.  More process and final pictures to come, stay tuned!
Less planning, more adventure.  This rig is designed for spontaneous ski trips, mountain bike weekends and most importantly: catching the early morning swells up and down the northeast coast.  My camper (nicknamed the Surf Sloth) is lightweight, comfortable and full of features like a sink, a kitchen, heat and tons of storage for gear.  It even has a guest bed for friends who want to tag along.  Careful consideration went into material selection and overall structural design to stay under payload limits and ensure the body is durable, rot-proof and rust free.
