Grow: Duo
Some of us are not blessed with a green thumb. The Grow team wants to change that for anyone who wants to have a garden. Their ecosystem involves a self-watering planter, a garden managing application and seasonal seed shipments direct to their subscribers.
I was challenged with the industrial design of Grow's flagship product: a connected planter that self-irrigated and had embedded sensors to detect things like moisture levels and sunlight. With tight constraints on aesthetics, functionality, unit cost and durability, we landed on an easy to assemble, modular design that looks modern and stylish. It was very important that the form make a statement of originality, yet blend into a variety of home decors.
This project was a collaboration with my great team at Bolt.
